  3. PATROL LEADER

  5. OBJECTIVE OF STATION:
  6. There will be four parts to this station.  Each part will be timed and penalties for not perfoming the handicap as instructed.   Each patrol member will experience various handicaps.  Follow the rules for each part.

  8. 1.  Mirrors;
  9. Each member of your patrol is to write their name and the Scout Motto.  You have 5 minutes to complete.

  11. 2.  Macaroni and cheese;
  12. Each member will be given 30 seconds to thread as many beads as possible.  If your patrol has less than nine people you will have to change people every 30 seconds.  If you have more than nine people you will have to change more often, so that EVERY member has a turn within the nine minute period.

  14. 3.  Blindfold Lacing;
  15. Each person in your patrol will be blindfolded.  You are to lace the card and then unlace it.  You will need to lace and unlace this card a total of nine times, (some Scouts may need to go more than once).

  17. 4.  Crossing the Amazon;
  18. Your patrol will cross the "Amazon" without talking.  Each patrol member will be concidered to be deaf and mute.  Each patrol member will have a "stepping stone" which they must be touching at all times.  The patrol must figure how to move everyone across without touching the "water".

  23. OBJECTIVE OF STATION
  24. This station is comprised of four parts whereby the patrol will experience different handicaps.  You are to observe and score according to the score sheet.  Observe that the Scouts are following the handicap.

  29. All members sign their name and 
  30. Scout Motto within 5 minutes.            18            _______

  32. 2.  Macaroni and cheese
  33. Each Scout, while wearing 3 pairs of socks
  34. will thread as many beads as possible.  
  35. 30 sec. per person for 9 people.  If patrol
  36. has less then 9 boys some will go more than
  37. once.  If more than 9, will rotate more often.
  38. All boys participate.  Maximum time = 4.5 min
  39. 1 point for each bead                                _______

  41. 3.  Blindfold lacing;
  42. Each member is to lace and unlace a card while 
  43. blindfolded.  If patrol completes in 5 minutes
  44. add 20 points.  Subtract 1 point for each 
  45. minute over 5 minutes to have 9 persons or 
  46. the entire patrol (which ever is larger) to 
  47. complete the task.
